Wujiang Archives, established in June 1959, is located at 1979 Zhongshan Nanlu Road. The archives has a collection of 3,650,860,000 volumes (pieces) of records and documents and 213,054 digital pictures, among which the historical archives (1832-1949), the silk archives and the archives of small towns enjoy a high reputation both at home and abroad. It now houses professional archives such as the Wujiang archives of the Contemporary Chinese Social Life Resource Center of Fudan University, the archives of Wujiang Literary and Artistic Talents and the reorganization enterprises archives. More than 10,000 people come for the documents annually, more than 15,000 volumes of archives have been provided and more than 60 kinds of archival historical materials were compiled and published with the documents in the archives, totalled about 25 million words. The Archives has several exhibition halls of the CPC Wujiang Party history, Wujiang history and culture, Wujiang celebrities and archives and historical materials, as well as Fei Xiaotong and Wujiang Hall. It is among the first batch of Social Practice Bases of File Education in Primary and Middle Schools in Jiangsu, the Patriotism Education Base in Suzhou and the first batch of Social Science Popularization Base in Wujiang District.
