Wujiang Museum, located in Lize Road, beside the Wujiang Cultural Square, is one of the cultural landmarks here. The museum is compatible with the surrounding small bridges and rivers, covering an area of 3,500 square meters with a floor area of over 3,650 square meters. The four-height building has 9 exhibition halls above the second floor, covering more than 1,800 square meters, including exhibition halls of history and culture, ancient outstanding figures, modern outstanding figures, calligraphy and paintings and coins collected by Wu Gensheng and a friendship hall (an exhibition hall of friendly companionship gifts), as well as an audio-visual scientific exhibition hall and a number of temporary halls. The museum houses more than 20,000 cultural relics such as pottery, porcelain, bronze ware, calligraphy and paintings, jade ware and coins, including more than 8,000 calligraphy pieces, paintings and inscription rubbings, as well as more than 10,000 coins. It is a highly-regarded museum at its level, carrying forward Wujiang’s history and culture as well as patriotic education.
