The Jiangyue Ancient Wood Statues Museum, established in 2007, was officially approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau in 2016. It is the first non-state-owned museum in Wujiang District and the first museum in the country dedicated to ancient wood statues. It has a collection of about 1,000 pieces of wood statues dating back to the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
The museum is devoted to the study of ancient wood statues and their cultural connotations. It helps visitors learn more about ancient wood statues and provides a platform where sculpture lovers can communicate with each other.
