Wujiang Economic&Technological Development Zone (Tongli)

Wujiang Economic & Technological Development Zone is a state-level development zone and one of the best places to invest in China’s coastal areas. Over 2,000 high-quality enterprises have settled here, with registered foreign capital of more than 12 billion US dollars (over 8 billion US dollars received) and registered domestic capital of more than 50 billion yuan. The zone has attracted nearly 20 of the world’s top 500 enterprises, including Ingersoll Rand, Caterpillar, GS, Caltex, NEC and SK. And 128 listed companies from the United States, Japan, South Korea and China’s Taiwan, and more than 30 enterprises listed on the domestic main-board market have built factories and R&D bases here. Over 400 dwelling enterprises have invested above 10 million US dollars each and over 50, above 100 million US dollars each.

 In 2018, the development zone achieved a regional GDP of 46.32 billion yuan, anincrease of 7% year-on-year (similarly hereinafter); industrial sales revenue of 162 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8%; a general public budget revenue of 5.2 billion yuan, breaking through the 5 billion yuan mark for the first time, a 10.2% increase; a fixed asset investment of 18.36 billion yuan, up 48.6%; the registered foreign capital of 257 million US dollars (177 million US dollars received); and an import-export volume of 15.8 billion US dollars, an increase of 3.1%.
