The park, located in Zhuangping Village of Shengze Town, covers an area of 249.48 hectares, reaching the Xiazi Dam in the east, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the south, Taoyuan Town in the west, and the Zhangjiaqiao River in the north. It is built to concentrate Shengze’s textile printing and dyeing enterprises, which can finish all the manufacturing processes like spinning, weaving, printing, dyeing, finishing and sewage processing in the park. It offers the settled enterprises unified services including water supply, heating, waste recycling and pollution control. The park has established a circular economy industrial chain involving water recycling, sludge incineration for power generation, utilization of waste heat from the power plant, and recycling of waste cloth (silk), alkali and oil. It has been focusing on promoting the transformation and intelligent development of the textile printing and dyeing industry and strives to build itself into a demonstration park featuring “orderly concentration of enterprises, intensive use of land, advanced equipment and technology, shared use of public facilities, resource recycling, and benign ecological circulation”.
