On the morning of Mar. 1, Cui Genliang, board chairman of Hengtong Group, who is a deputy to the 5th session of the 13th National People’s Congress to be held in Beijing on Mar. 5, left Wujiang District for Beijing. Cui said in an interview with reporters that he has made full preparations and will truly perform his duties as a NPC deputy and make more valuable proposals concerning people’s thoughts, expectations and wishes during this year’s annual session.
As an important part of the Yangtze River Delta integration demonstration zone, Wujiang District is carrying on its shoulder the historical mission of implementing the national strategy for promoting the YRD integrated regional development. Deputies to the National People’s Congress from the demonstration zone can put forward forward-looking and high-quality proposals and suggestions concerning the construction of the demonstration zone, which may serve the overall development of the country in the future. In the previous sessions, Cui Genliang has made a number of suggestions on how to promote the integrated development of the YRD region and shared the experience of Wujiang District in this field.
Cui said that he would make suggestions regarding the development of private enterprises, the improvement of energy resource utilization efficiency, and the construction of new regional power systems during this year’s annual session to help promote the high-quality development of the private economy, the development of new business forms, and the establishment of a sound economic system featuring green, low-carbon development, aiming to achieve nationally determined contribution targets, for CO2 emissions to peak before 2030 and to achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.
In addition, Cui will suggest that the management regulations of non-public charitable foundations should be revised in order to encourage the participation of private enterprises in philanthropy.
