On the afternoon of March 14, Wang Guorong, deputy secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee and district chief, led persons in charge of the Finance Bureau, the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, and the Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau to inspect the Yunli Bridge urban renewal project and the Shengjiashe urban renewal project.
Wang Guorong first went to the construction site of the Yunli Bridage urban renewal project to learn about its progress and the difficulties encountered. The project covers a total area of about 960 mu and it is a key project implemented by Wujiang District for building the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, which is planned to build a large-scale community featuring the integrated development of industry, city and tourism.
At the construction site of the Shengjiashe urban renewal project, Wang Guorong learned in detail about the planning, layout and progress of the project. With a total area of about 305 mu, the project is planned to make the Shengjiashe ancient street take on a new look.
At the subsequent symposium, Wang Guorong required that local authorities and relevant departments should draw up a clear timetable and set specific goals for the high-quality construction of the projects.
At the meeting, representatives of Suzhou Urban Construction & Investment Development Co., Ltd, Songling Sub-district and the East Taihu Lake Eco-tourism Resort reported the progress of the projects and the problems they face. Relevant departments put forward suggestions for solving difficulties hindering the construction work.
