On March 18, Sun Jianjiang, deputy secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee and district chief, conducted on-site inspections to get firsthand information about the district’s digital development. He stressed the need to boost digital empowerment and use digital technologies to further optimize government services.
Sun Jianjiang and his entourage first visited the Wujiang District Administrative Service Center. The district chief was briefed about the measures taken to standardize and normalize government services and make them more convenient. Also, he talked cordially with people who conducted business at the service center, asking in detail about their comments and suggestions on administrative approval procedures.
Later, Sun Jianjiang and others went to the digital government service center, which is referred to as the “Digital Wujiang Cockpit”. They watched on a giant screen that drones were deployed to carry out community inspections and learned in detail about the progress made by Wujiang District in building a drone-empowered intelligent social governance system, as well as the application scenarios for digital technologies in such fields as economic operations and public services.
At the subsequent meeting, Sun Jianjiang said that over the past year, local authorities and relevant departments in Wujiang District have made coordinated efforts to promote the building of a digital Wujiang, focusing on developing digital economy and building a digital society and digital government. He fully affirmed the phased results achieved in optimizing government services, bolstering the development of the digital economy, enhancing social governance, and meeting the increasing demands of the people for diversified public services.
At the meeting, an official of the District Data Bureau reported on the work of furthering data reforms and optimizing government services in 2024 and the work plan for 2025. And representatives of the East Taihu Lake Eco-tourism Resort, the District Ecology and Environment Bureau, and Wujiang Big Data Co., Ltd. made speeches.
