Wujiang District held a rural work conference on March 8. Li Ming, secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee, attended the conference and delivered a speech, in which he stressed the need to study and implement the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work related with agriculture, rural areas and farmers, the guiding principles of the Central Rural Work Conference, the decisions of the provincial rural work conference and the arrangements of the municipal conference on accelerating the modernization of agriculture and rural areas. It is necessary to draw on the experience of the Green Rural Revival Program to steadily promote rural development, boost cultural development in rural areas, promote the transformation of outdated customs and habits, and build a beautiful and harmonious countryside for people to live and work in.
The conference was chaired by Sun Jianjiang, deputy secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee and district chief. Those who attended the conference included Qian Bin, director of the Standing Committee of the Wujiang District People’s Congress, Cao Xuejuan, chairman of the CPPCC Wujiang District Committee, and Zhang Binggao, deputy secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee.
Over the past year, Party committees and governments at all levels in Wujiang District have earnestly implemented the important expositions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work related with agriculture, rural areas and farmers and worked hard to accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas and promote rural revitalization across the board. Persistent efforts have been made to consolidate further the foundation of agriculture, make rural areas more beautiful and villagers’ life more prosperous, and move steadily towards the goal of building the district’s strength in agriculture.
At this conference, the attendees were briefed about the district’s efforts to promote rural revitalization in 2024. And officials from Tongli Town and Qidu Town reported the progress for work in this regard in 2024. Representatives of the District Agricultural Development Group, Huangjiaxi Village of Wujiang High-tech Zone (Shengze Town), and Qixin Food Production Cooperatives of Zhenze Town made speeches.
District leaders Li Wenbin, Chen Jianzhong, Shen Weijiang, Tang Weiming, and Sun Junliang attended the meeting.
