On February 28, Wujiang District held an on-site meeting on the upgrading of inefficient industrial land, which stressed the need to implement the work requirements put forward by Liu Xiaotao, secretary of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, during his inspection tour in Shengze Town and called for great efforts to address land constraints and accelerate the upgrading of inefficient industrial land. Mao Wei, vice mayor of Suzhou, and Li Ming, secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Sun Jianjiang, deputy secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee and district chief.

In 2024, the district ranked first in the city in terms of the total area of upgraded industrial land.
A publicity video for the work that Wujiang District has done in promoting the upgrading of inefficient industrial land was played at the meeting. And the “Three-year Action Plan for Promoting the Upgrading of Inefficient Industrial Land in Wujiang District (2024-2026)”, the work report of promoting the upgrading of inefficient industrial land in 2024, and the work plan for 2025 were introduced to the attendees.
