On March 31, Sun Jianjiang, secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee, inspected key enterprises in Wujiang Development Zone to learn about their production and innovation achievements and help solve problems presented by the enterprises on the spot. He encouraged the enterprises to continue increasing R&D investment, strengthen core competitiveness and inject new impetus into the high-quality development of Wujiang District.
Sun Jianjiang and his entourage first visited Suzhou Maxwell Technologies Co., Ltd. Settled in Wujiang District in 2010, the enterprise has focused on the solar photovoltaic, display and semiconductor sectors, achieving breakthroughs in a number of key technologies.
Zhou Jian, chairman of Maxwell Technologies, provided a detailed briefing on the enterprise’s latest R&D achievements and development potential in high-tech semiconductor equipment manufacturing, with a focus on the progress of its newly signed perovskite tandem cell equipment project and semiconductor equipment R&D and manufacturing project.
Later, the team visited the construction site of the BOZHON New Energy Intelligent Equipment R&D and Manufacturing Base Project. They talked with persons in charge of the enterprise to learn more about the progress of the project, which is a key strategic move for the enterprise to increase its presence in the intelligent battery charging and swapping sector and enhance core competitiveness in high-end equipment manufacturing. The project, upon completion, is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 1,000 charging and swapping stations, 180 liquid injection machines and 12 module assembly lines.
Fang Yong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Wujiang District Committee and deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Wujiang Development Zone, participated in the inspection.
