On August 21, Suzhou Weimaige Technology Co., Ltd. held the commissioning ceremony for its industrial automation project in Qidu Town, Wujiang District. Cao Ye, deputy secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee and district chief, and Niu Wei, chairman of Suzhou Weimaige Technology Co., Ltd., jointly pushed the lever to mark the official launch of the project.
The Weimaige Industrial Automation Project, located in the Wuyue Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Qidu Town, involves a total investment of 500 million yuan, with 30,000 square meters of additional floor space. Its core businesses include the R&D, production, sales, and testing of industrial robots and automation equipment; the R&D, production, and sales of equipment for the photovoltaic and lithium-battery industries; the precision machining of components; and the development of intelligent warehousing systems. The project is capable of producing 10,000 sets of precision components, 500 sets of automated equipment, and 200 sets of intelligent industrial robots annually. Upon full operation, it is expected to generate an additional annual output value of 500 million yuan.
Since the beginning of this year, Qidu Town has made all-out efforts to accelerate the construction of 28 provincial, municipal and district‑level key projects with a total planned annual investment of 4.04 billion yuan. To date, 3.278 billion yuan has been invested, achieving a completion rate of 81.14 percent. All 15 newly‑launched projects have commenced construction, with progress exceeding scheduled timelines and targets. Qidu Town will continue to provide all‑round support for enterprise development and write a new chapter of high‑quality development in the digital and intelligent era.
