On September 17, Sun Daoxun, secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee, and Cao Ye, deputy secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee and district chief, respectively led delegations to Shanghai to learn development experiences and seek cooperation opportunities. They held face-to-face meetings with heads of technology enterprises and financial institutions, aiming to accelerate the landing of high-quality projects in Wujiang and inject strong momentum into the district’s high-quality development.
Sun Daoxun first met with officials of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. He then visited Shanghai Yingguan Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., learning in detail about its development history, technological strengths, product innovation and industrial layout and exchanging views with company executives on industry-university-research cooperation and manufacturing standardization. Sun and his entourage also conducted an on-site tour of the production workshops of Shanghai Modern Advanced Ultra Precision Manufacturing Center Co., Ltd.
Cao Ye and his delegation began their visit at UBS (China) Limited, an institution focusing primarily on wealth management services. They then went to the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance for in-depth exchanges with its relevant representatives and visited China Insurance Investment Co., Ltd. to explore industrial investment cooperation. They also held talks with Commerzbank, which has over 150 years of experience in trade finance and has long served numerous subsidiaries of foreign enterprises in China. Cao Ye noted that Wujiang District is home to a large number of foreign-related enterprises with strong demand for cross-border trade. He expressed hope that both sides could leverage their respective resource advantages to collaborate in areas such as cross-border guarantees and trade financing, so as to empower Wujiang with precise financial services and further amplify its advantages in opening-up.
