In his statement, Sun Daoxun said that it’s a great honor for him to be appointed as the first secretary of the Party committee of the Wujiang District People’s Armed Forces Department and he felt a profound sense of responsibility. He would adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Xi Jinping Thought on Strengthening the Military, and work hard to promote the district’s work concerning the building of the people’s armed forces to a higher level. He will faithfully assume responsibility for managing and strengthening military related work, take the lead in fulfilling the primary responsibility for the Party’s leadership over the armed forces, and make unswerving efforts to strengthen the full and rigorous Party self governance and ensure strict governance over the military. He underscored the importance of improving national defense mobilization and war support capabilities, promoting the efficient integration and mutual reinforcement of new quality productive forces and new quality combat capabilities, stepping up publicity and implementation of conscription policies, and providing strong support for bolstering military training and combat readiness. Continued efforts will be made to carry forward the fine tradition of military civilian unity, vigorously promote the fine tradition of Duel Supportings (the military supporting the government and caring for the people, and the government, social groups and the people supporting the military and providing preferential treatment to the families of service members and martyrs), continuously improve military-civilian coordination mechanisms, and raise public awareness about the importance of national defense.
